VIDEO: Rita Ora "Face Melt"

Roc Nation’s British sensation Rita Ora has been fairly quiet on the music front these past few months — being the face of Superga’s new campaign, a Twitter spat with Azealia Banks and concerts all around the world have kept her occupied — but today she returns with a hot new video for “Facemelt.” It’s part of Hunger TV‘s Dirty video series, which films visuals for album cuts that wouldn’t normally get the video treatment. Rita’s debut album, Ora, is out now on iTunes.

GAMES: GTA 5 Three New Trailers

Rockstar Games finally releases their next batch of trailers for their upcoming killer-app,Grand Theft Auto V. The three main protagonist, Michael, Frank and Trevor each get trailers showcasing what we’ll be doing in beautiful Los Santos this fall. Michael is a retired gangster from the game who’s moved into the city but is having a mid-life crisis with depression and still needs the excitement of the action.

Frank is gang-banger, who’s trying to leave that lifestyle behind but has a few more special missions he must complete before making that exit. Last but not least is the most intriguing out of the bunch, Trevor. He’s a lunatic drug-dealing live-wire who’s willing to do anything and everything to get his point across

GTA V hits shelves this September 20th on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Check after the jump to watch all three trailers.

LIFE: So So Def 20th Anniversary 02.23.13

I can't stunt. For my first concert since moving to Atlanta, I'm glad I made it the So So Def Reunion. As expected the Fox Theater was completely pack full of... ATLANTA! From an artist perspective, its gotta be a dope feeling to have your hometown show up to support and congratulate you on a legacy that was created 20 years ago.

I forgot JD had so many hits starting way back with Kris Kross, I was like 7 when they first dropped the "Jump" record. Thinking back to when my older sister would let me listen to Da Brat's "Funkdafied" album even though everyone thought I was too young to listen to it. Damn I'm old... -__-

All of the performances were cool; Luda, Usher, Monica, Bow Wow, Anthony Hamilton and Xscape (minus Kandi and Tiny).

SONNI SAYS: "Take A Break"

“Sometimes you have to step away from a project in order to revisit it with fresh ideas.”

I think the Coyote never caught the Roadrunner because he obsessed too much over his goal. Think about it, every ellaborate trick, chase and trap ended in failure but you never see him actually take a break. After over 30 years of pursuit you’d think he’d be tired and eventually give up.

No matter how small, everyone has a goal that defines their purpose in life:

• To be a doctor, lawyer, rapper, pornstar etc.
• To have a big happy family.
• World domination.

The whole purpose to having a life goal is to give YOU something to do with your life. It’s a long road and if you’re changing directions its kinda important to know what your destination is, right?

Its important to know when to take a break. If you don’t, you won’t pursue your goals with the same passion that you had when you began and then your efforts become weak unproductive.

When you’re ready to start again, completely start over instead. Look over everything that went wrong the last time and find a way around it, there's ALWAYS an answer.

Step 1 to changing your direction: Take a break, then start over.

Oh by the way! The Coyote took my advice and look what happen…

Side note: I've gone back and forth about this blogging thing. Shit, I've posted this same post before but it holds true now more than it did 2 or so years ago. Sometimes I'm dedicated sometimes I'm not. I think its mainly because I didn't have too much to talk about in the past and I didn't want to create a blog that just copy and pasted the latest hip hop news. But I'm just gonna keep this simple and personal this time around. Either way enjoy and stay tuned.
